Wow – I love some of the projects I have seen lately on Facebook! I need to share these two with you. I plan on picking up the stuff later today and trying it out this weekend. If anyone has tried this out – drop me a comment below with any tips!

Re purpose a shower curtain and a couple lengths of pvc pipe to make an instant shade for a Picnic Shade!

shade

The curtain already has tabs one side,

You can easily add tabs to the other side of the curtain with some fabric and a bit of e6000 Craft glue. Or lay the PVC pipe on the Edge of the curtain (on the side that you want to insert the pole!!) and run a line of E6000 craft glue along the edge, fold the curtain over the pvc pipe to the correct size needed and glue the fabric part into place.

Once it dries it will create a perfect loop to slide the pvc pipe into. 1/2″ PVC is lightweight and bends easily.

Then slip the pvc down the sides of the tabs.

Do you remember this sofa with a chaise long made with pallets?

I have always wanted to try and make one of these too! I looked up these directions and I think I might be able to pull it off, with a little help from my friends of course. I looked around and the directions I found that made most sense for me were these ►► Instructions and 3D plans of how to make a sofa for the garden with pallets ◄◄ from the good folks at diypalletfurniture.net.
