I have a gorgeous new puppy that just loves her treats. I love giving them to her too – but I wanted to make sure I was giving her treats and not fattening her up. 1. Homemade Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Treats:
When making dog treats at home I know my pet is getting a nutritious and wholesome snack. If you have a picky puppy or a dog with a special diet you can also tailor the dog treat recipes to your dog’s taste preferences as well as cater to any dietary restrictions. You will be able to tell if your dog approves.

Making our own can prevent unhealthy additives from making there way into our pets diet. Many brands of commercial dog treats are filled with preservatives, which help to extend their shelf life. In addition, store bought treats are often made from fillers and byproducts as opposed to natural and high quality ingredients. By creating our own treats at home, we will be able to provide our dog with a healthy snack that is not only nutritious but is also free of unhealthy additives.
