November 18, 2015 | DIY, Home, Interest

Rather than letting your old vintage brooches gather dust in your jewelry box– why not give that boring old refrigerator a face lift with fun & fabulous magnets? Not only are these brooch magnets easy to make but they’re beautiful and give new life to your old and sentimental pieces. Check out this step-by-step guide & dress up your space with a little vintage flair.

  • Vintage Brooches
  • Wire Cutters
  • Pliers
  • Super Glue
  • Super Strong Magnet

1. Collect your supplies including brooches, wire cutters or pliers, super glue and a magnet.
2. Using wire cutters or pliers, pull off the pin part of the brooch, making it as smooth as possible for the magnet to lay flat.
3. Cover with super glue and stick the magnet on the back of the brooch. Let dry overnight.
4. Organize recipes, photos and more in a fashionable way.

Gather those forgotten heirlooms and give them new life where friends and family can appreciate them. If you don’t have brooches in your jewelry box, you can find vintage pins and brooches by the bag-full at any flea market, antique store or thrift shop! Happy Crafting!
