If you have no idea what Pinterest is, we’re here to help! Pinterest is a pinboard site that lets you “pin” or save images from the Web, and lets you create boards to help you categorize your images and add descriptions to remind you why you saved them in the first place. It’s a perfect site for fashion tips, home decor DIYs and recipes. If you’re still a little confused, don’t worry, we’ll go through the steps of how to use Pinterest so you can start adding pins and boards until your heart’s content.
Step 1: Join Pinterest
Visit pinterest.com and click Join Pinterest. You can sign up with your email address, it’s super easy and takes only 15 seconds to sign up for free. You’ll be asked a few more questions such as your gender, and you’ll have to upload a photo of yourself (or anything!) to your profile and proceed.
Step 2: Follow Some Boards
Once your account is all set up, you’ll need to find some awesome boards to follow. Pinterest will suggest you some, which is helpful. You can select a cateogory you’re interested in like Deisng, Technology and more. Follow at least 5 boards, you know you wanna! Don’t forget to follow WomanFreebies on Pinterest, we post recipes, coupons, sweepstakes, DIYs and more!
Step 3: Create a Board
You’ll need to build your own boards so you can organize your pins. Click ‘Create a Board’ and a box will pop up asking you to name your board, add a description, and categorize it.
Step 4: Get Pinning!
Yay, you’re almost there! You can check out the pins of people you follow on your home feed (click the Pinterest logo at the top of the screen), or you can search more specifically by selecting a category from the drop-down menu, next to the search bar. Speaking of the search bar, you can also find boards, pins, or pinners by entering a keyword there!
TO PIN: When you see an image you want to pin, simply click on the image you’d like to pin and click the red “Pin It” button that appears in the upper left-hand corner. You’ll be asked to designate it to one of your boards and add a description.
You work too hard for your money to throw it all away on full price when you don't have to!
